This is further to my message to the Board Counsel on todays date and my subsequent telephone conversation with Mr.Neil McKay.
I had left a message this morning arising out of a Procedural Order related to the proposed expropriation of certain lands in the County of Oxford proposed to be acquired by Ontario Hydro.I represent the owner of the lands I-ON-X.
The order as I understand it sets July 6th for the hearing of this matter at the Boards Offices at Yonge Street in Toronto.As I suggested to Mr.McKay it seems an odd state of affairs that an owner of lands in Oxford County would be required to travel to Toronto to find out whether his lands are to be expropriated.I should have thought that there might be some consideration of the convenience to the owner as to where proceedings should be held related to the seizure of his or her lands without their consent.
This is by way of back ground to suggest that the Board give consideration to locating a place in Woodstock where the necessary hearing can be convened and the convenience of the owner recognized.Thank-you for your kind attention and consideration.
