Comments to the Board

The Board should consider the environmental implications of raising
hydro rates for people considering geothermal heating and cooling
systems. The government encourages the installation of these systems by
providing grants to the homeowners. Hydro should consider rate
adjustments for households that install such systems to support the
government's position on renewable energy sources. Raising the hydro
rates will act as a deterrent for future installations of these
environmentally-friendly systems.
