Subject: Response to Electricity Rate Change

Dear Ontario Energy Board, As a homeowner in Thunder Bay, Ontario, I am
writing with great concern over the application for Electricity Distribution
Rate Change. A 22.8 rate hike over two years (by 2011) is not an option
that I support. As a responsible Energy Board, you must consider that this
large increase, is not only unacceptable in my household but it also puts
the cost up in Industries and Business and so, as a consumer, I end up
paying more for goods and services and then this is added to the higher home
costs.
I would welcome a clear vision of planning that takes into consideration
newer, cleaner and yes, greener energy forms. For example, a big tax break
to install solar panels on my house. My hope is that there are concerned and
forward thinking individuals on the Ontario Energy Board that will take
seriously the concerns of all citizens in our province.
Please, do not pass this huge increase.
Respectfully,
Laura Buker
