Subject: re: Hydro One Networks application for a rate increase
Attention: Board Secretary
I would like to take the time to tell you that I do not consent to an increase in the rate change that Hydro One Networks Inc wishes to impose on the public. I find it strange that at the same time that the newspaper provides notice of Hydro One's application for a rate increase, that Hydro One is notifying it's customers of a rate increase before the application has been approved/disapproved. This really makes it appear as though there is no real application process, and thus no room for a public voice in opposition to this monopoly. The OEB is a corporation, as is Hydro One Networks Inc. Thus both corporations must abide by contract law. Contract law states that a contract has no force of law unless ALL parties consent. Therefore if Hydro One Networks Inc increases their rate for customers who do not consent to a rate increase, then Hydro One Networks Inc is breaking the law -plain and simple.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Aisha Badran
