Subject: rate increases
The consumer is already being charged enough for Hydro delivery. It upsets me that the "debt retirement" fee was approved and consumers were lead to believe it was going to be temporary, but is obviously not. When I have called Hydro regarding the delivery fee being considerably higher than what was used, if any was used, the explaination was, that it is charged to us because it is available for us to use whenever we want, that is ridiculous. I have also questioned why there are different rates charged on what is used and the answer I received on that is because of lost hydro, again ridiculous. During these hard times, consumers, along with small businesses are having hard times making ends meet, feeding and housing their families. If Hydro is having a hard time then perhaps they should look at their own business, do staff cuts, lower wages, but don't increase fees that are already high enough.
