RE: File #: EB-2009-0096
....Hydro One Networks has filed an application to the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) to raise hydro delivery charges:
- 9.5% in 2010
- 13.3 % in 2011.
This has to be a joke . . . right? Our local paper mill is 75% shut down. Statistics for tourism, the second source of income for our area, are anticipated to be at their lowest level in recorded history. Unemployment is high. Moral is low. Our local food bank cannot keep its shelves stocked. Many families are relocating out of the area because of the employment situation and the high cost of living.
Ontario is in a recession. I am unaware of any business that is awarding 9.5% or 13.3% raises. Please reject Hydro One's proposal to increase delivery charges.
