Good Afternoon,

I am writing to express my outrage that Hydro One Networks has filed an
application to the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) to raise hydro delivery
charges:

a.. 9.5% in 2010, and
b.. 13.3 % in 2011.
Not one working person that I know can afford a 22.8% increase in hydro
delivery charges by 2011. I encourage you to decline the application.
Ontario is in a recession! People have lost their jobs. There are no new
jobs, particularly decent paying jobs opening up in this province.

Industry is leaving the province of Ontario as a result of high energy
costs. Ontario energy costs are so high, industry cannot compete in a
national much less global economy. Is it wise to create even higher energy
costs in this province and create an even bigger gap in the ability of
industry to compete in the marketplace? Ontario is in trouble and a move
like this will not help the province attract industry and stimulate the
economy.

It is time Hydro One tightened it's belt like the rest of us before there is
no one left in this province to deliver Hydro to. Industry everywhere is
having to restructure and Unions have been required to take consessions to
continue to be viable. Most employment contracts are not seeing increases
greater than 1- 1.5 %. Hydro One is the exception? Maybe it is time for
better management of Hydro One resources and new and innovative leadership
with a restucturing requirement within the Corporation so they can deliver
energy at a competitive rate.

In many communities in Northwestern Ontario, industry has shut down. People
have left the province, houses on every street are vacant and for sale.
Energy costs are sited as the major contributing factor to industry closing
or moving out of the province. Hydro One needs to wake up!

Please decline this application. Tax payers are tired of losing more and
more of their income to increased fees. We need to be able to spend in the
marketplace to stimulate this economy. Taking more and more of our
disposable income will only tighten the hold this recession has on our
ability to recover.

Yours truly,

Jo-Dee Kamm
