What justifies a 9.5% and 13.3% hike in rates? Just because they are big business does not mean that they should be allowed to have such increases. We are already paying the debt reduction, most businesses would jump at a chance for the public to pay their debts down, if they were really serious about making the same profits why not cut back on expenses (big bonuses, retirement dinners, etc) Have you ever drove by a coffee shop at 08:00, 10:00, 12:00, 02:30 and not seen at least 3 Hydro One trucks parked there, I say get some work out of these guys that are so costly to employ. There is not a private business in this country that would be allowed to raise rates like this. Why would they even think that the public would accept this when the average wage earner is taking wage cut backs just to keep a job. I would be happy to accept even a 1% raise in wages yearly let alone a 9.5 % raise.
