I am writing to express my opposition to the application of Hydro One to
increase their charges by 22.8% over 2010 and 2011.

The increase in rates, if approved, will be an onerous extra cost for
people like myself who are seniors and who live in rural areas. Our
present electricity costs are outrageous.

I spent many years living in Manitoba and the differences in hydro rates
between these two neighbouring provinces is dramatic. Hydro One appears
to be poorly managed and looks to downloading their past mistakes on the
citizens of Ontario, rather than making a serious effort to improve
their poor efficiency as an organization and inadequate management
practices.

I urge you to decline their application to increase their rates in 2010
and 2011.
