Board members

Both my wife and I are retired and on fixed incomes. We have built an energy effecient home with a geothermal heating and cooling system with the idea of making as small as possible carbon footprint in order to keep the cost of maintaining this home as cheap as possible. We are totally dependent on electricity to run our house. Now with the information we have received that Hydro One wants to increase our costs over 22% for the next two years comes as a real shock. This is unacceptable. We cannot afford this exuberant amount. Insist that Hydro One cut the salaries of their top staff in half. No one is worth that kind of money. If they threaten to quit, you might suggest they apply to AIG in the U.S. for employment. We cannot affort this kind of rate increase with the economy in the shape it is. Most of the paper and saw mills here in the Northwest have shut down because of the high cost of electricity and this rate increase will only help to put a final nail in the coffin. We urge you to say " NO " to any type of rate increase and to instruct them to make their savings by cutting the management salaries.

Thankyou for taking time to read our e-mail. Respectfully Carole and Randy Wilde
