Comment:
Best time to reach: No Preference
horizon has applied to the OEB for a rate increase
to make up a shortfall in revenue due to a major customers drop in usage. My belief
is it,s General Motors in st. catharines which had a long shutdown due to the recession.
This utility has to realize that a lot of us have had a shortfall in incomes due
to the recession and not working.
How do we make up that, just call ottawa and increase
our EI cheques? i doubt it.
Maybe they should get it from all their employes who
are in the $ 100,000 club.
These utilities should just go into their own savings
accounts and get the extra dollar the need just like the rest of us trying to survive
in rough times. They said its only about 32 cents a month but it will never come
off our bills just like the Ontario Hydro charge on our utility bills now.
They
have to realize why the shortfall and find savings inhouse like a lot of employers
did which resulted in high unemployment
