Best time to reach: No Preference

Hydro consumers have been asked time and time again

to conserve. We heeded the call and in turn we were penalized with higher rates due

to utilities losing revenue to conservation. Now horizon utilities is asking for

another mark-up due to the loss of thousands of jobs at stelco and the energy not

being consumed by them.Corporations need to be finally be held accountable for their

mistakes and NOT the consumer. I'm absolutely disgusted at the OEB for continuing

to raise hydro rates and by penalizing us for conserving. Give your head a shake

and be realistic. Maybe we should stop conserving. Stop using mercury laden CFL's,crank

the A/C and lets see if the OEB lowers rates then. Ontarians already pay through

bloated taxes and fees to maintain the utility corporations and if they cannot manage

taxpayer monies in a responsible manner, too bad. Recession is not the time for government/utility

corporation windfalls. Its time we as taxpayers and consumers stand up and say no.In

these times its proving to be extremely difficult just to make ends meet. We cannot

even think of saving. Grow a pair and finally stand up for the taxpayer/rate payer

and say NO to corporations and their financial mistakes.Hold them responsible for

their mistakes and spending. Will you take a stand for ontarians? Will you simply

brush this letter off with a form letter?
