Subject: Application Hearing EB-2007-0681
To whom it may concern:
Regarding the recent application by Hydro One Networks to increase their Distribution charges (Hearing Application EB-2007-0681), I am completely opposed to any further increases for Distribution. Distribution is part of the Hydro One Delivery charges. These charges are far too excessive already.
I have a family summer camp on Lake Matinenda, north of Blind River, Ont. I am attaching my latest bill for the three month period Nov.-2007 to Jan-2008 to illustrate my point. My total electricity charge is $16.63, while my delivery charge is $119.28 !
To add insult to injury, this bill proudly informs me of the great price break from 5.3 cents per kWh to a new low of 5.0 per kWh. The extraneous charges that the electrical supplier now charges on each bill has made the cost per kWh almost insignificant.
My total charge for all electricityused at Matinenda in 2007 was $ 68.03; my total regulatory charge was $11.21, while my total Delivery charge was a wopping $456.76 !
Does Hydro One networks need an increase for their Distribution charge ?
I THINK NOT !!
