Subject: Hydro One - EB-2007-0681

Sir:
I have just seen the public notice that Hydro One, having acquired my
local utility, wants to raise the delivery rate 23.6% in Ailsa Craig
over four years, based on the rationale that I'm not paying the same as
other customers. If my previous utility could deliver electricity, pay
the bills and make a profit, at the old rate, why is such a large
increase necessary? There are no additional expenses. This is nothing
but a bald-faced cash grab, a corporate ripoff.
Isn't it the role of the OEB to protect consumers in a regulated
industry from such corporate ripoffs?
Yours truly,
Darryl Slywchuk
