I am requesting intervenor status for the subject hearing
(Designation Proceeding for the East-West Tie Line).

As a citizen of Ontario, I may be affected by the outcome of this
proceeding by the fact that increasing east-west transfer capacity
will afford more opportunity to access northern Canadian
hydroelectric power, which is the most reliable and economically
efficient form of renewable energy. In turn, this will allow for the
use of less fossil-fuel generation and reduce the use of less
reliable, less economically efficient forms of renewable energy. In
addition, the line will assist in economic development in Ontario's
northland.

I do not represent any group. I do not intend to seek any cost
awards as a result of my intervenor status.
