Â

Dear Ms. Walli:

Re: North Bay Hydro Distribution Limited (NBHDL) request for delay of

May 1, 2014 Cost of Service Application

Â

I have not received a reply to my letter requesting that the OEB’s approval for NBHDL to delay its cost of service application be rescinded.

Â

I believe that the objection contained examples of a number of valid points showing that some items that were contained in the 2010 rate basing year have been paid for by ratepayers and some were simply miscalculated. My suggestion was that ratepayers would benefit greatly from a cost of service application for a 2014 rate rebasing.

Â

The fact that OEB does not scrutinize actual expenditures on individual budgeted expense items after rates have been set does not detract from the impact of the arguments put forward in my objection. The envelope of expenses approved in 2010 has changed significantly and this change will have the effect of reducing current rates.

Â

I continue to believe that the delaying a cost of service application by NBHDL will be a financial burden on ratepayers that will never be recovered and will provide few, if any, financial benefits to ratepayers.

Â

I would appreciate receiving a reply indicating that the approval has been rescinded or in the alternative a reply addressing my concerns.

Â

Yours very truly,
