Please accept this correspondence as notice that the Regional Municipality of Niagara requests intervenor, or alternatively, observer, status in these proceedings.



The Regional Municipality of Niagara is the upper tier municipal government statutorily responsible to deliver various municipal services to the residents of Niagara Region. It and area taxpayers are, therefore, affected by any proposed rate changes with respect to the distribution and delivery of natural gas.



Given the relatively short notice period, the Regional Municipality of Niagara has not yet had an opportunity to review the documentation supporting these applications but hopes to do so in the near future and will then be better placed to clarify its position regarding a written or oral hearing and request for costs.
