Subject: Proposed Hydro Distribution Rate Increase
Importance: High

I feel it incumbent upon me to write you regarding the proposed Hydro One increase in Distribution Rates !

I feel it would nothing short of a travesty if this increase is allowed !

In the early 70's(I am a 78 y'r old retiree), Ontario was known as the home of cheap electricity . While I do not have figures at my fingertips, I feel sure we must now be one of the most- if not THE most expensive provinces !

We should be looking at forcing a 'ROLL-BACK' of these exorbitant charges, NOT an increase !!!

To give you an example :- my most recent bill(17Oct. to 17Nov.)

Total electricity cost - $69.62

Delivery(Distribution) - $43.36 !!!

Then of course there are :- Regulatory Charges -$7.92

Debt Retirement Charge - $8.21

GST ----------- $6.46

For a grand total of - $135.57 --- This for $69 worth of electricity !

SOMETHING is SERIOUSLY WRONG HERE !!!!!
